AUSTIN (KXAN) — A motorcyclist died after a crash that happened in southeast Austin Friday morning, according to the Austin Police Department.
Officers responded to the crash around 2:35 a.m. at the intersection of the 4100 block of South Interstate 35 northbound and the 1600 block of East Ben White Boulevard serviced road eastbound, APD said in a news release.
Police said they responded after hearing someone who was injured “was possibly involved in a collision with a motor vehicle.” However, no motor vehicle were found at the scene when officers arrived. Police said this is being investigated as a “Collision Involving Death” at this time.
This is now being investigated as Austin’s 45th fatal crash of 2025, according to police.
No other details were available Friday.
