Another professional soccer team is in talks to play its games at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park.

The Dallas Parks and Recreation Board on June 5 approved a three-year licensing deal with a “professional sports” team for use of the Cotton Bowl, as well as a three-year lease for use of the MoneyGram Soccer Complex at Elm Fork.

The team in those deals is Atlético Dallas, a new United Soccer League team, two high-ranking team officials told Dallas Business Journal.

Dallas City Council still needs to weigh in on the deals.
