A look at the signs held at the Dallas ‘No Kings’ protest

DALLAS — Hundreds of protesters marched through Downtown Dallas on Saturday, one of about a dozen of the “No Kings” protests held that day across North Texas. 

Held in protest of President Donald Trump’s policies, on the same day as Trump’s birthday and a military parade in Washington, countless people brought their own signs to the protest, with humorous or angry statements being made against the president or his policies. 

They were organized by progressive activist organization Indivisible and the 50501 movement, a national movement whose leaders say advocates for democracy and against authoritarianism. The movement’s name stands for 50 states, 50 protests, one movement.

In North Texas, there were about a dozen protests planned, including in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Burleson, Frisco, Denton, McKinney, Greenville and more.
