WCSO: Woman arrested, accused of selling fentanyl to man who died

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 26-year-old woman was arrested last week after she allegedly sold fentanyl to a man in October 2024, resulting in his death, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

On Oct. 6, 2024, the agency said on social media WCSO Organized Crime Unit responded to “alleged overdose death” call at a residence on Morningside Circle in Hutto. WCSO found 30-year-old Michael Ackerman in his bedroom.

WCSO conducted “a thorough and lengthy investigation,” which determined 26-year-old Crystal Perez “sold fentanyl to Mr. Ackerman, which resulted in his death,” WCSO said. She was arrested and is currently in the Williamson County Jail on a $1 million bond.

KXAN has reached out to Perez’s attorney. We will update this if a statement is received.
