A man is recovering in the hospital after his truck went airborne and crashed into a bayou on the Katy Freeway.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A man is recovering in the hospital after a serious crash on the Katy Freeway near Mason Road.
According to Harris County deputies, the crash happened just before 10 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses at the scene told investigators they saw the driver’s truck hit a guardrail. Deputies say the impact caused the vehicle to go airborne before flipping over the edge and crashing into a nearby bayou.
The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. However, officials say they believe he is going to recover.
