Those who want to snag $1 tickets to the zoo have to buy tickets online ahead of time.
DALLAS — The Dallas Zoo’s Dollar Days are coming back for families looking for summertime fun without breaking the bank.
The Dallas Zoo offers $1 admission on specific days of the year. This year, $1 admission will be offered on July 17 and August 5. There will also be deals on certain snacks and drinks, including $1 popcorn, $2 ice cream, $3 canned drinks and more.
Those who want to go have to get their tickets online ahead of time, though. Tickets are available here.
“Dollar Days are our way of giving back, making the Zoo accessible for all, and saying “thank you” to our amazing community that supports us year-round,” the Dallas Zoo says on its website.
To better navigate the crowds, the Zoo encourages visitors to take the DART Red Line, which stops at the zoo’s entrance. Parking is $12 on-site, according to the zoo.
“Dollar Days are some of our busiest days of the year as we welcome guests near and far. With that in mind, we kindly ask for your patience as lines and areas across the Zoo may be busier than usual,” the Zoo’s website says.
The Dallas Zoo is also encouraging visitors to prepare for the summer weather with plenty of sunscreen and water.
