The westbound mainlanes between Hirsch and Jensen will be shut down from Friday to Monday.
HOUSTON — Drivers should be aware of an important road closure this weekend.
The westbound lanes of the North Loop will be shut down between Hirsch Road and Jensen Drive will be shut down from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Detour
In order to avoid the closure, drivers can get off the Loop at the Lockwood Street/Hirsch exit and stay on the feeder road to East Crosstimbers Street and make a U-turn. You can then get on the Eastex Freeway south and get on the ramp to the North Loop westbound connector.
Another closure
Two left northbound and southbound lanes of I-69 will be blocked off between Kelley Street and Cavalcade Street from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Drivers were advised to look for alternate routes to avoid delays.
