The remains were found Tuesday afternoon on Mercury Drive, east of the Crosby Freeway.
HOUSTON — Houston homicide detectives are investigating a gruesome find in northeast Houston.
Someone found skeletal remains in the wooded area of a large park and nature trail.
The call came in around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday from Herman Brown Park on Mercury Drive, just east of the Crosby Freeway. The U Learn Soccer Academy is also nearby.
The human remains were handed over to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine the identity, gender, age and cause of death.
