Brazoria County deputies arrested two suspects after a fireworks stand robbery involving gunfire near Alvin.
ALVIN, Texas — Authorities in Brazoria County are investigating reports of a robbery and gunfire overnight at a fireworks stand near Alvin.
According to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at a stand located on County Road 129.
A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office confirmed that two people are in custody in connection with the incident. Investigators believe there may have been as many as seven suspects involved.
The sheriff’s office said there were reports of shots fired at the scene, but no injuries were reported.
Officials emphasized that they are still working to sort out the details and more information will be released as the investigation continues.
