According to police, the suspect and victim knew each other.
HALTOM CITY, Texas — A man died and a woman was critically injured following a shooting Tuesday at an apartment complex in Haltom City, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a person with a gun around 11:37 a.m. at a complex in the 4100 block of Northern Cross Boulevard, according to the Haltom City Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers secured the area and began communicating with people at the apartment. Soon after, they heard multiple gunshots, police said.
Officers then forced entry into the apartment and found a man dead and a woman critically wounded.
Investigators believe the man and woman knew each other, but no further details have been released.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public and the scene has been secured.
