Eldorado and Virginia Streets will be under construction for concrete panel replacements.
MCKINNEY, Texas — The City of McKinney is set to begin a concrete panel replacement project on its city streets and they’re going about it in creative way.
The city announced its upcoming construction project and marketed it as a music festival called “ROADSTOCK.”
The project will replace damaged concrete panels and strip the roadway to improve the overall driving surface along Eldorado Parkway from Ridge Road to U.S. 75 and Virginia Parkway from Stonebridge Drive to U.S. 75. One-mile segments will be completed before starting the next phase of the project.
“Stops” along the tour are made out to be sections of road they’ll be working on. “ROADSTOCK” will begin the week of June 23, and last approximately 12 to 18 months, weather permitting.
These sections of road make up the “Eldorado Setlist”:
- Ridge Rd. to Lake Forest Dr.
- Lake Forest Dr. to Hardin Blvd.
- Hardin Blvd. to Country Club Dr.
- Country Club Dr. to U.S. 75
While working on these sections of road, travelers can expect the following:
- Lane closures with one lane open in each direction at all times
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
- Trash and recycling services will not be disrupted
