According to police, two of the passengers injured are young juveniles.
ANNA, Texas — One person was killed and at least three others were injured in a crash involving a work truck Friday night in Anna, according to police.
The Anna Police Department said officers responded around 7:21 p.m. to the crash at County Road 513 and FM 2862. An SUV carrying two adults and two juveniles was traveling on CR 513 when it attempted to turn onto FM 2862 and was struck by a large work truck headed toward Highway 121, officials say.
Police said the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult passenger in the front seat was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. The two juveniles in the SUV were also hospitalized, but their conditions were not released.
The driver of the work truck was evaluated at the scene by EMS, but no additional details were released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
