ICE reportedly raids San Antonio construction site near the Pearl

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s ramped up enforcement actions in San Antonio now include a raid Thursday at a construction site near the Pearl shopping and dining district, MySA reports. MySA reports a staff writer witnessed the tail end of a raid at the construction site, where workers pushed open a back gate and abandoned their hardhats and reflective vests in an attempt to evade arrest and blend in with crowds. Roughly five agents from the FBI and DEA were spotted in the area around the Pearl, according to the online news outlet, and additional plainclothes agents wearing masks were spotted along the River Walk.
