Man killed in suspected dog attack in Tarrant County in North Texas: Officials

Three dogs believed to have been involved in the attack were seized from a neighboring property, officials say.

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — A Tarrant County man is believed to have been killed by his neighbor’s dogs this week, officials say.

Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 7800 block of Slay Street around 4 p.m. June 16 and said they found a man dead in a chair with wounds consistent with dog bites. 

Investigators believe the man, who was not identified, was attacked in his yard, walked into his house, and died, deputies say.

Three dogs believed to have been involved in the man’s death were seized from a neighboring property, officials say.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s name and determine his cause of death. 

Officials are still investigating the incident.
