Celebrate Summer: Top Events in North Texas This Weekend

Summer kicks off with a lineup of exciting events in North Texas. Concerts, markets, and sporting events make it easy to celebrate and welcome sunnier days.

DALLAS — Summer officially arrives this Saturday, and the best way to celebrate is with some summer-suited events and activities this weekend.

When you think of summer, does country concerts, ice cream, and sporting events with friends not come to mind? With sunny skies and triple-digit temperatures on the forecast, there’s no better time to get out of the house and experience it all.

Music fans have plenty to look forward to this weekend, with big country names like Luke Bryan in town. Plus, you’ll find block parties, silent discos, and celebrations all over DFW so the jams don’t have to stop at the concert venue.

The heat gets too much to handle? We’ve got you covered on that front as well. Grab a Stanley cup sundae at a local ice cream shop to fuel you as you walk through a farmers market or pop-up.

With so many fitting ways to welcome the summer season it can be hard to choose, but here’s a list of some of the top events happening this weekend in North Texas to help you narrow it down.

Throw on your cowboy hat, grab your friends, and buy a beer and you seriously won’t want this night to end. The concert starts at 7 p.m. at Dos Equis Pavilion, so hop on and buy tickets before they sell out.

The Texas heat is picking up to the high 90s this weekend, and the best way to cool down is with a frozen treat. With Saturday being the official first day of summer, it feels only natural that the sweet treat be ice cream from Duck Duck Scoop. To celebrate the new season the shop says to bring your Stanley cup and they will fill it up with four scoops of ice cream of any flavor for only $10.
