The latest look at the new “King of the Hill” comes after a sneak peek montage released for Father’s Day.
DALLAS — Is it Aug. 4 yet?
That’s when the highly-anticipated, North Texas-inspired “King of the Hill” reboot will drop on Hulu, and we’re getting yet another sneak peek at modern-day Hank Hill, who’s a lot like the early-aughts Hank Hill we came to know and love.
This time — in a short clip posted to “King of the Hill” socials Wednesday — Hank, Peggy and their neighbors took a visit to George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. The scene opens with Hank marveling through a glass case at a baseball.
“Was that the actual baseball thrown by President Bush before Game 3 of the 2001 World Series, providing hope to a grieving nation?” Hank asked the tour guide.
The group went to the next exhibit, where an awestruck Hank looked in wonder at the pen Bush used to lift a ban on offshore drilling.
Peggy Hill, joined by neighbors Dale and Nancy Gribble, remained unimpressed.

Interest in the reboot — which will feature an adult Bobby Hill and most of the same characters as when the original show ended in 2010 — has been brewing since its announcement back in 2023, but even more hype has been built up between a poster release, preview screenings of the show and a look at the new opening credits.
“King of the Hill” is based in the fictional town of Arlen, but if you’ve seen the show, you know it’s very much a North Texas-inspired setting. In fact, show creator Mike Judge once said Arlen is an amalgam of Arlington and Garland and was also inspired by Richardson, where he once lived growing up.
“King of the Hill” began in 1997 and ran for 13 seasons at Fox before being canceled. This is the second animated sitcom Hulu is bringing back, alongside a planned revival of “Futurama.”
