The crash had traffic on southbound lanes of I-35W backed up for miles, according to TxDOT data.
FORT WORTH, Texas — All southbound lanes of Interstate 35W are shut down in southern Fort Worth on Wednesday afternoon due to a multi-vehicle crash, according to police.
Fort Worth police said officers responded to the crash at approximately 11:51 a.m. Wednesday near I-35W and E. Felix Street. The crash involved three vehicles, including a semi-truck, FWPD said.
TxDOT data showed the backup could be seen as far north as Oakhurst. The interstate was shutdown at 1:20 p.m., TxDOT officials told WFAA.
It’s unclear what led to the crash.
Fort Worth police said the occupants of all vehicles were taken to local hospitals and one of them was in critical condition.
