Two people were in custody after a shooting involving undercover police officers, police said.
HOUSTON — Two people were taken into custody Tuesday after police said they opened fire on undercover police officers. Houston police said the two people who were taken into custody were robbery suspects.
The arrests happened on Cullen Boulevard near Airport Boulevard. It wasn’t clear where the robbery or the shooting happened. Photos posted on social media by Houston Police showed officers in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store.
No one was injured in the incident.
The circumstances leading to the shooting weren’t shared.
A K-9 officer named Taz captured the suspects. It wasn’t clear if the suspects were hiding or running away.
