Police say multiple unknown suspects fired shots at a vehicle Monday morning before fleeing the scene. One person was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating a reported shootout they say took place early Monday morning in Deep Ellum and resulted in at least one person being hospitalized.
One suspect is already in custody in connection with the shooting, police say. But the investigation reportedly determined that multiple unknown suspects shot at a vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Police were called at about 1:45 a.m. Monday near North Good Latimer Expressway and Main Street, officials say. One person was taken to the hospital in stable condition, but no gunshot victims were found at the scene.
A sergeant at the scene described the incident as a shootout and said about a dozen shell casings were found in the area, along with a car with its windows shot out.
The investigation is ongoing.
