Man severely burned in Quail Run Drive house fire, rescued by firefighters

Firefighters rescued a man from a burning home in Missouri City, saving his life with CPR before rushing him to the hospital.

MISSOURI CITY, Texas — A man is in the hospital after being pulled from a burning home by Houston firefighters late Sunday night.

The fire broke out at a home on Quail Run Drive around 8:30 p.m., sending heavy smoke into the air as crews arrived on the scene. According to the district fire chief, firefighters discovered the man inside the home while working to put out the flames.

He had suffered severe burns. First responders immediately performed CPR before rushing him to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His current condition has not yet been released.

After the rescue, firefighters continued battling the blaze and were able to contain it. The cause of the fire is under investigation by arson detectives.
