Three people were hurt in a shootout after multiple fights outside a motel, police say.
HOUSTON — Three people are hurt after a shootout outside a motel in northeast Houston early Sunday morning, police say.
This happened on Tidwell Road just east of I-69 around 1:30 a.m.
The Houston Police Department said there was a series of fights that ultimately led to a shootout outside the motel.
A woman was shot in the leg and a man was shot in the stomach. Both were taken to an area hospital where they are expected to survive.
Another man was hit by a ricocheting bullet in the back of his shoulder. Police said that person brought himself to a hospital.
HPD could not give any information on the suspects but said investigators were working to gather surveillance video from the area.
