AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced March 14 after he pled guilty to a March 2023 homicide.
According to Travis County court documents, 34-year-old Zachary Salinas’ sentence is 10 years in prison for tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.
The charge was related to the death of 36-year-old John Ryan Kern, who was found with stab wounds inside a home following a call for a house fire in southeast Austin.
Salinas received a jail credit of 726 days toward his sentence.
