Sprouts operates four other stores in Dallas and several more in the Metroplex.
DALLAS — Oak Cliff is getting a new grocery store this June.
Sprouts Farmers Market announced it will open a new grocery in the Dallas neighborhood on June 20.
The Arizona-based grocery chain has aggressively expanded in Dallas-Fort Worth in recent years. Sprouts operates 26 stores in North Texas, three of which opened up just last year.
The Oak Cliff store will be located at 1322 N. Hampton Road, right off Fort Worth Avenue. The new Sprouts addresses a critical need for the nearby community, which is widely considered a food desert due to the lack of grocery stores.
Sprouts, which has a focus on organic and natural foods, has more than 380 stores nationwide with around 31,000 employees.
In North Texas, they’re among a crowded grocery market, which includes Tom Thumb, Kroger, Whole Foods, Walmart and H-E-B, which has had several planned openings in the future.
Sprouts announced several events for the opening weekend, including giveaways, a scavenger hunt and free samples.
