Both Bianca Valerio and Bruce Leamon received the exact same number of votes in Saturday’s runoff election.
PASADENA, Texas — If you needed proof that every vote counts in elections, check what happened in a runoff in the city of Pasadena.
With all precincts reporting, the race for Pasadena Councilmember District B appears to have ended in a tie. That’s 272 votes for Bianca Valerio and 272 votes for Bruce Lehman.
These results aren’t final just yet. We reached out to the Harris County clerk’s office, which runs the elections. They told us that the results aren’t official until all of the late and provisional ballots are processed and the City of Pasadena canvasses the election.
The clerk’s office will finalize the results by June 13.
