IRVING, Texas — Three people were hospitalized on Saturday morning after a shooting in a Waffle House parking lot in Irving, according to police.
The Irving Police Department said officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 6:15 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of E. State Highway 356, which is the location of a Waffle House restaurant.
Police said three people were struck by gunfire, and all three victims were taken to the hospital. Two of the three shooting victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Irving police said, while the third had “a more serious injury.”
Irving police said officers were looking for multiple suspects that fled the location in a vehicle. The motive behind the shooting was not known Saturday morning, according to police. Irving police also said they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing, and more information would be available at a later time, police said.
