Pickup Lines: Chef Johnny Hernandez

SAN ANTONIO — The current Pick-up Lines segment attributes San Antonio chef Johnny Hernandez.

Hernandez was birthed and raised in San Antonio and obtained his very first taste of cooking and catering with his father, who spoke no English and had a 2 nd-grade education and learning.

Hernandez took morning meal tacos from his father’s kitchen and would market or trade them at his primary school.

He later on went to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York City and afterwards cooked for stars and globe very important people at a widely known Las Vegas resort.

At some point, home was calling, and Hernandez went back to San Antonio to start his very own food catering organization, together with La Gloria and other properties.

Today, he is proactively functioning to change La Villita and its cooking scene as we understand it.

Later on this summer season, Hernandez will start a cross-country journey that will culminate with him weding his longtime sweetheart.
