Man charged with murder in connection to fatal North Side accident

SAN ANTONIO — A guy has been apprehended and billed with wrongful death for driving 29 mph over the rate restriction 5 secs before a harmful collision on the North Side, according to an apprehension affidavit.

Jackson Pope Spalten, 30, was driving 74 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone 5 secs before the May 2 crash at the junction of Harry Wurzbach Roadway and Dalewood Area.

San Antonio authorities stated Spalten was driving a white 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling southbound on Harry Wurzbach Roadway.
