Houston authorities said the guy was regretful for his activities. They claimed he was intoxicated when he lashed out on social media.
HOUSTON– Houston authorities claimed they have determined the person who made threats against Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and his household after a rough getaway last month.
It took place Saturday, May 10, and it was McCullers’ initial game at Daikin Park in over two years. He wasn’t able to get out of the initial inning and was drawn after logging just one out and enabling seven runs.
In a postgame press conference, Astros Supervisor Joe Espada claimed people were intimidating the life of McCullers and his youngsters “as a result of his efficiency.”
McCullers was noticeably drunk when he spoke to press reporters after the rough trip.
“I recognize individuals are extremely enthusiastic and individuals like the Astros and love sports, yet, um, you know, intimidating to discover my youngsters and murder them, um, is a bit challenging to take care of,” he stated.
On Monday, Houston Police Department detectives said the suspect who made the hazards lives overseas and had positioned a wager on the video game. The guy told authorities that he was intoxicated and discouraged when he lashed out on social media.
HPD officials mentioned that the male excused his actions and asked them to say sorry to McCullers and his household.
“It’s extremely unfavorable that we need to manage this besides he’s (McCullers) done for the city, for this group. The fact that we need to discuss that in my office. I have actually obtained kids, too, and it really drives me nuts that we have to deal with this. Extremely sad, very, really depressing,” Espada stated.
Houston authorities claimed they’re still checking out the case. They didn’t disclose his name or where he lives.

The length of time had McCullers been out?
McCullers had surgery on June 13, 2023, to repair his right flexor tendon and to get rid of a bone spur. He threw a bullpen session last June however had an obstacle and was shut down for the year.
He made his long-awaited go back to the mound Sunday, May 4, in Chicago versus the White Sox.
