Law enforcement officers eliminated while escorting funeral procession south of Houston

The Angleton Cops Department said Sgt. J.D. White was accompanying a funeral procession when he was struck by a vehicle.

ANGLETON, Texas– The Angleton Authorities Department is mourning the loss of a professional police officer.

Sgt. J.D. White died in the line of duty on Sunday.

Angleton PD claimed White was accompanying a funeral procession when he was struck by a vehicle. He was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Medical Facility in Houston, however he didn’t make it through.

“Sgt. White served with honor for 19 years and was known for his leadership, empathy and dedication to the neighborhood– particularly his collaborate with kids via the Shop with a Police officer program,” APD stated in a statement.

White served in a selection of roles throughout his profession, most lately as Sergeant of Professional Stability and Public Details Police Officer.

“This is a tremendous loss for Angleton and the Angleton community,” Police Chief Lupe Valdez stated. “Sgt. White was a relied on policeman and a caring leader who brought heart to every element of his work.”

Valdez claimed White was able to connect and uplift kids in the area via Store with a Police.
