DFW Weather: Storms bring large hail to North Texas

Tornados moving through North Texas Sunday brought huge hailstorm and some records of damages.

TARRANT AREA, Texas– Storms are relocating with North Texas Sunday with records of large hailstorm in the southern component of the metroplex.

Hail approximately the size of baseballs is feasible as the storms remain to relocate through North Texas.

Viewers in Tarrant County are reporting up to baseball-sized hailstorm and some damage, including a broken windscreen.

In Cresson, the Cresson Volunteer Fire Division reported lightning struck a canopy with 14 individuals under it at Mustang Park on Lake Benbrook just before 6: 30 p.m. Sunday. The department claimed two individuals were taken to a hospital as a safety measure, and the various other 12 were evaluated/treated at the scene.

A WFAA viewer in Everman shared a photo of what appears to be 3 baseball-sized openings in their back vehicle window.

At the very least golf-ball-sized hail was seen West of Lake Arlington Sunday night.
