Boundary apprehensions in Maine hit 24 -year high

MAINE, United States– U.S. Boundary Patrol representatives report that they continue to see high varieties of arrests along the Maine-Canada border.

Last Friday, agents flew 42 people that remained in the nation unlawfully from Presque Island to Detroit for more processing.

In April, Boundary Patrol apprehended 113 people from 16 various nations in the area. Officials say it was the greatest month-to-month apprehension number in 24 years.
