SAN ANTONIO — Robert Fleming Jr., the founder of Magnolia Pancake Haus, has actually passed away.
The dining establishment, which is a staple for breakfast enthusiasts in the San Antonio area, announced his sudden passing on social media on Saturday.
Fleming was a popular number in the hospitality industry. Under his leadership, Magnolia Pancake Haus got recognition as one of Texas’ top morning meal destinations.
His tradition surpasses just the food.
“Robert was greater than the heart behind Magnolia Pancake Haus– he was a visionary, an advisor, a buddy, and a man whose enthusiasm for friendliness brought joy to numerous lives,” the post read. “From our extremely first pile of pancakes to every cozy smile shared throughout our tables, his legacy survives in every edge of our Haus.”
“He developed a community, not just a restaurant, and we are recognized to carry forward the traditions and worths he instilled in us. He was a guy that gave and asked for absolutely nothing in return,” the blog post proceeded.
Birthed as the second of seven children, Fleming created an enthusiasm for cooking early in life, learning from his mother, according to Magnolia Pancake Haus’ site
He started his culinary career at age 14 in Chicago, where he swiftly climbed through the ranks of the restaurant sector. With levels in culinary arts and hospitality administration, Fleming held placements at prestigious facilities.
