Southern Star Brewing Co. announced its closure in social media posts.
CONROE, Texas — After nearly 20 years of serving up beer to the Conroe community, Southern Star Brewing Co. is calling it quits, becoming the latest local craft beer operation to turn off the taps.
The popular brewery, which is known for its signature Bombshell Blonde Ale and other craft beers, said in a May 27 Facebook post that its last day will be June 28.
“After many incredible years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors and bring this chapter of Southern Star Brewing Company to an end on June 28, 2026,” the post said. “This brewery was never just about beer. It was about the people, the memories, the friendships, the concerts, the weekends, the celebrations, and the stories shared over a pint.”
The post went on to thank everyone who’s ever been involved with the brewery past and present.
“Thank you for every pint, every visit, and every memory,” the post said.
