CONROE, Texas — A Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable’s deputy has been suspended following allegations that the deputy shared photos of an arrestee and their driver’s license on social media, according to a news release from the office.
The Precinct 5 Constable’s office became aware of the allegations on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Chief Chad Walling, the deputy accused of sharing the images has been suspended while the investigation is ongoing.
The office noted that it has strict policies prohibiting deputies from sharing images obtained in the performance of their official duties on social media.
Officials say the investigation is in its early stages.
“Information is limited at this time as investigators are in the early stages of obtaining facts and evidence,” the release states.
