At the Southeastern Conference spring meetings Tuesday in Destin, Florida, Sarkisian said that those in charge need to consider the “unintended consequences” of adding more teams to the CFP. Right now, there are talks about moving to 16 or 24 teams, something that SEC commissioner Greg Sankey said there needs to be “informed discussion” about. All of the other power conference leadership supports a move to 24 teams.
