CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Former “Chrisley Knows Best” reality TV star Lindsie Chrisley was arrested over Memorial Day weekend in Georgia on charges of DUI and attempting to elude authorities.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies took Lindsie Chrisley into custody on Sunday, May 24. She also faces improper passing, reckless driving and speeding charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
Lindsie Chrisley appeared on several seasons of the hit reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” which featured Todd Chrisley, his wife, Julie, and their family. Lindsie is Todd’s daughter from a previous marriage.
TMZ reported that Lindsie Chrisley told their outlet she was trying to avoid hitting an animal and she sped past a car on a two-lane road, leading to her being pulled over. According to TMZ, she plans on fighting the charges.
The sheriff’s office said her bond was set at $5,961. She was released from jail the same day of her arrest.
The Chrisley family gained major notoriety when their hit TV show took off.
Another microscope was placed on Todd and Julie as the couple battled a high-profile fraud case. A jury in 2022 found them guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. The Chrisleys were also found guilty of tax evasion after being accused of hiding their earnings. Julie was initially sentenced to seven years while Todd was given a 12-year sentence. They were also ordered to pay restitution.
However, the family, particularly the couple’s daughter, Savannah, pushed and lobbied for her parents’ release. Early last year, attorneys for Todd and Julie said they would ask President Donald Trump to pardon them. The president signed off on it back in May 2025, and they were released from federal prison.
