Alternate routes for drivers
Drivers trying to avoid delays may want to consider:
- Using SH-6 as an alternate north-south route
- Taking Beltway 8 to bypass the area
- Exiting U.S. 290 before FM 1960 and using frontage roads where possible
- Considering Highway 249 depending on their destination
