Officials on scene say people upstairs at the party began shooting downstairs at the partygoers entering the house.
DALLAS — Three people are dead, and one is injured after a shooting at a party in a short-term rental house, officials said.
Officers responded just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 3700 block of Vilbig Road, according to the Dallas Police Department. When officers arrived on the scene, they found several people shot.
Police on the scene said people upstairs at the party began shooting downstairs at the partygoers entering the house.
Two victims were pronounced dead on the scene. One victim who had been shot was transported to a hospital, where they later died. Officials say a fourth person was shot and self-transported to the hospital, where they are expected to recover.
Police have not yet identified the victims. The incident remains under investigation.
