According to the Galveston Beach Patrol, the person was first spotted by a Coast Guard crew on a training mission.
GALVESTON, Texas — A body was pulled from the water after being spotted in the Houston Ship Channel on Saturday.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, a crew was out on a training flight when they noticed the body. The Coast Guard then notified Galveston police and EMS, as well as the Beach Patrol.
At around 10:45 a.m., the body was located and pulled from the water, according to Beach Patrol.
At this point, we don’t have an identity of the person who was found dead in the water. We also don’t know how the person died.
