Motorcyclist dead after crash with vehicle in Richardson Tuesday afternoon

​Officials say a Sedan was attempting to make a U-turn when it was struck by the motorcycle. The motorcycle then hit another vehicle that was parked nearby.

RICHARDSON, Texas — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash with a vehicle in Richardson on Tuesday, officials say.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Pacific Drive in Richardson just after 2 p.m. regarding a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle. 

Officials say a Sedan was attempting to make a U-turn when it was struck by the motorcycle. The motorcycle then hit another vehicle that was parked nearby. 

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital where they later died, police say. The identity of the driver will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver of the Sedan was not injured. 

The Richardson Police Department’s Special Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
