Croutons sold in 17 states recalled over salmonella concerns. Which bags are included?

The croutons were made with milk powder that was recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.

WASHINGTON — Kroger Homestyle Cheese Garlic Croutons sold in 17 states have been recalled over salmonella concerns.

The issue is linked to milk powder used to make the croutons that may be contaminated with salmonella. Several other brands have had to recall products over the past several weeks because of a milk powder recall issued by California Dairies Inc.

In this case, Sugar Foods LLC said the milk powder was part of the seasoning blend applied to the Kroger croutons. The company said the affected seasoning batches tested negative for salmonella prior to use.

No illnesses have been reported.
