The City of Terrell said scammers are going door to door claiming they need to investigate contaminated water
TERRELL, Texas — The City of Terrell is warning residents about a reported scam involving individuals posing as city utility workers.
In a social media post, city officials said they have been made aware of people going door-to-door claiming they are investigating contaminated water and requesting access to homes.
The city said city employees are not going door-to-door and urged residents who encounter the group to contact the Terrell Police Department immediately at 469-474-2700.
