DALLAS — Dallas visitors will now have another way to get around town after Lime rolled out more than 100 LimeBikes in the city.
According to a press release, the new electric bike was designed for riders who may have difficulty pedaling for extended periods by giving riders the option to either pedal with an electric assist or push down on a throttle to get moving.
“Lime is proud to launch the LimeBike in Dallas, expanding reliable, inclusive, and sustainable transportation options for residents and visitors alike,” says Lonny Stern, Senior Regional Lead of Government Relations at Lime. LimeBike is the next evolution of Lime’s e-bike, designed with a clear goal: make shared cycling accessible, comfortable, and intuitive for more people.”
Lime says these bikes are designed to last longer, require fewer repairs, and sustain higher usage.
The company says the decision to launch was made after a successful test-period in select cities around the world in 2024.
