Alvarado police said the accident caused all southbound lanes of I-35W to close temporarily Tuesday afternoon.
ALVARADO, Texas — A person is dead after a car crash involving an 18-wheeler Tuesday afternoon, according to Alvarado police.
Police said the crash happened at 12:30 p.m. on Interstate 35W southbound near County Road 604. Police have not yet disclosed what led to the crash but did say it involved an 18-wheeler and a sedan.
Officials said southbound lanes of I-35W were temporarily shut down as police investigated, and crews began to clean up the roadway.
Alvarado police said the investigation is ongoing.
