DALLAS — Amazon is rolling out its new 30-minute delivery in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, according to a press release from the company.

Amazon Now previously tested its new 30-minute delivery to DFW, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Seattle. Now, the company plans on expanding to Austin, Houston, Phoenix, Denver, and Oklahoma City next, the release states.

With Amazon Now, customers can order fresh groceries, household essentials, or locally relevant items to their doorstep in 30-minutes or less, the company says.

“Amazon Now is for when you need or want the convenience of getting your Amazon order delivered in 30 minutes or less,” said Udit Madan, senior vice president, Amazon Worldwide Operations. “With thousands of items available for ultra-fast delivery, you can get everything from groceries for dinner, to AirPods before a flight, to household essentials like laundry detergent or toothpaste delivered right to your door.”

This year, Amazon also announced other fast-delivery offerings, including 1-hour and 3-hour delivery on more than 90,000 products, which is also available in DFW.

When Amazon Now is available in your area, customers will see a “30-Minute Delivery” option on the banner on the Amazon app or homepage. Prime members will pay a delivery fee of $3.99 per order, and non-Prime customers will pay $13.99. If your order is less than $15, Amazon will add on an extra fee of $1.99 for Prime members and $3.99 for non-Prime customers.

The company plans to expand the program to tens of millions of customers across the country by the end of the year.
