Are you the ultimate soccer fan? FOX may have the job for you.
WASHINGTON — Planning to watch the World Cup? You could earn $50,000 while doing so.
FOX Sports, FOX one and Indeed partnered up for a nationwide search for a Chief World Cup Watcher to see all 104 matches across the nearly 40-day tournament. The FIFA World Cup, which is hosted by the U.S., Mexico and Canada, kicks off June 11 and ends in July 19.
Fans can apply for the dream job through Indeed. If chosen, the lucky fan will be watching all 104 matches from a custom-built viewing space in New York City. The games will be livestreamed through FOX One, the network’s streaming service.
“This FIFA World Cup will be a historic tournament that calls for an equally historic hire,” Robert Gottlieb, president of FOX Sports, said in a news release. “One engaged applicant will get the job of a lifetime to experience and celebrate every story, every nation and every exhilarating moment that defines the beautiful game.”
This year’s FIFA World Cup is the first soccer tournament to feature 48 teams, resulting in 104 matches across 16 host cities.
What does the job include?
- Watching every minute of FOX Sports’ coverage of all 104 matches in 4K on FOX One – the Official Streaming Platform of FIFA World Cup 2026.
- Making their fandom shine from a custom-built viewing space amidst thousands of daily visitors, tourists and commuters in the heart of Times Square for a truly unique watch party.
- Creating and sharing social content authentic to them throughout the tournament showing they’re the authority in watching and cheering for every minute of World Cup action.

How to apply for the FOX One Chief World Cup Watcher job
To be considered for the role of FOX One Chief World Cup Watcher, fans are urged to update their Indeed profile now through May 17.

The role will begin on June 6, just one week before the tournament kicks off. The official hire will be revealed during the FOX live broadcast of the Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees.
The lucky fan will wrap up the role on July 26, a week after the World Cup final.
