Child air lifted after hazmat incident that injured 3 in Tarrant County, officials say

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — A child has been air lifted, and three others injured after a hazmat incident in Tarrant County, according to Everman Emergency Services. 

Officials say the incident happened at 6 p.m. Thursday in the 5100 block of Wilson Rd. 

When Everman firefighters arrived on scene, officials say they found two people outside a home, saying a child was inside. Firefighters entered the home, took the child outside, and immediately started giving life support. 

Officials say the 1-year-old child was care flighted to Parkland Hospital with serious injuries, while the two other patients were treated on scene with minor injuries. 

Officials say one Everman firefighter was taken to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth in stable condition after being exposed to the unknown chemical.

Everman EMS says the Tarrant County ESD 1 and the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene as well. 

Officials say the scene is still active and they will provide any additional updates as they come in.
