German Shepherd kills bobcat believed to have attacked multiple people in Arizona

A German Shepherd is recovering after killing a bobcat suspected of attacking at least three people in two days in an area northwest of Phoenix.

PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A bobcat, believed to have attacked multiple people in Arizona, was killed by a German Shepherd, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the bobcat may have been involved in at least four attacks in recent days.

An attack Sunday evening left a man with significant injuries and needing treatment at the hospital.

The bobcat is then believed to have attacked a woman Monday morning.

It’s also suspected of attacking a dog in a neighborhood.

The final attack came when the bobcat went after a person walking their German Shepherd.

Authorities said, during the attack, the dog successfully intervened and killed the bobcat. The dog was taken to a veterinarian with injuries.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on other possible attacks to call Arizona Game and Fish.

The department believes the same bobcat was involved in all four incidents but has not yet confirmed it.
