Deputies investigate crash involving a pedestrian on southbound US 67 in southern Dallas County, officials say

Officials say the pedestrian was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

DALLAS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian in the southbound lanes of US 67 in southern Dallas County. 

Officials say the pedestrian was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. 

Deputies responded to the crash around 1:30 a.m. Monday, May 4, in the southbound lanes of US 67 near Danieldale Road, the Dallas Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post. 

US 67 was shut down briefly while crews investigated the crash, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. The road later reopened before the morning commute began.  

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
