Motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle crash in Hunt County, DPS says

A 68-year-old Fate man died Saturday after losing control of his motorcycle on State Highway 66 in Hunt County,

HUNT COUNTY, Texas — A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Hunt County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS).

TXDPS responded around 6:40 p.m. to State Highway 66 near County Road 2112.

A preliminary investigation found that a 2024 Triumph motorcycle was traveling south on SH-66 when the driver lost control and laid the bike down. The motorcycle slid into a barrow ditch, authorities said.

The driver, identified as 68-year-old George Donald Bee of Fate, was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
